Our Story

It began with every Italian Greyhound owner's nightmare - our Twiggy breaking her leg.

Towards the end of her four months in recovery, I found myself dreading getting her back into clothes.

The getting-dressed part had always felt fiddly, awkward, and generally just not a comfortable experience for either of us. Little stretch where I needed it most, baggy where it didn't need to be.

And for a breed that needs a layer more often than most, I couldn't shake the feeling that she didn't look that comfortable wearing them. Fabrics which didn't feel of a good quality, and she'd itch endlessly.

I also wanted to see her in clothes that felt like an extension of my own wardrobe.

So, I grabbed a pack of post-its, a Sharpie, and started mapping out ideas from my living room floor.

The idea was to make clothing that felt like it was made for an Italian Greyhound. Tailored to their frame, with seams that don't pull across their stride or restrict how they move, easier to get on and off, and made from quality, purposeful fabrics which make sense for their sensitive skin (and that I felt better about).

We'd prioritise materials with responsible credentials and source as locally and small as we could, from OEKO-TEX certified fabrics to brand labels made from recycled yarn at a solar-powered family run mill in Wales.

So that's what we did.

Two years before we launched, I began working with Kim, our patternmaker and seamstress in Devon, to bring it to life.

Each piece is designed to have a purpose in your Italian Greyhound's wardrobe, with the same quality you'd find in your own. Designed to be worn and loved for many seasons, and for their everyday - whether that's the morning walk, the commute, a weekend away, or simply lounging in the cooler part of the house.

Behind every step today - from creating our patterns, making your garments, through to your Italian Greyhound's new piece being shipped to you - it is just Kim, Twiggy (of course), and I.

It's something that will always matter to us, and we think you'll feel it in every piece.
