Why we're taking a different approach to Black Friday
As the season begins to hum with the energy of shopping deals and Black Friday countdowns, we’ve taken a step back to reflect on what matters most to us as a small business.
Why we’re sitting this one out
Our purpose is rooted in thoughtful consumption. It's always been about creating long-lasting, timeless Italian Greyhound clothing that better our Italian Greyhounds' experience of wearing practical clothing through design and pure quality, while respecting the planet and supporting other small businesses around us. Black Friday’s fast-paced, high-pressure ethos just doesn’t align with the values we hold dear.

At this time we’re focusing on what matters most: our community and other small businesses who are doing some pretty cool stuff right now. We'll be:
Highlighting makers and brands we love
Sharing stories about the incredible people and companies behind our collection, and other small businesses we love.
Joining others choosing to #OptOutside this Black Friday
Twigs and I are going to spend quality time together in the outdoors, soaking up the sun (currently) forecasted! If you're joining, we'd love to see what you're getting up to in the outdoors, so do tag us with @thehoundedit
By stepping away, we hope to make room for what really matters: mindful choices, supporting others and the planet, and the joy of buying thoughtfully.
